This Day's Song of the Day in History

Today's song of the day also includes a quick history lesson. On May 4th 1970 the students at Kent State University in Ohio held a protest over the United States invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War. The protested resulted in the Ohio National Guard shooting into the crowd, killing four students. Nine other students were injured, some who weren't even protesting. The situation is clearly described in the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song "Ohio."

Stay classy, not UMassy.

ps: I've already had a page hit from someone who googled "UNH girls porn."

This Day in History: April 9th

  • 1867- The Alaskan Purchase is passed by a single vote. Best results: Oil, The Iditarod and Sarah Palin... jokes.
  • 1954- Dennis Quaid is born... Personally I'm very excited for his 2009 movie "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra."
  • Speaking of cobras rising, happy birthday Jenna Jameson, born in 1974, this "actress" is responsible for thousands of teenage boys contracting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Also celebrating a birthday is singer/songwriter/actor and all around triple threat Jesse McCartney.
